Michael’s Pasatria! Oh Mama Mia!
I had no idea what I was in for when I went to shoot a video to run on <a href="http://www.shoplocalessex.com"> and Shop Local Essex's Youtube page for Michael’s Pastaria in Nutley, NJ.
Realtor Dominick Nicastro of Castle Realty, who raved about the food when I told him that we would be filming there after we finished filming his video spot which is also to run on www.shoplocalessex.com. Dominick asked, “will you be eating there?” To which I answered, “well Nicky Conforti (owner and chef) told me he was going to feed me.” Dominick then laughed and said “well you are in for a treat.”
I was told it was his favorite restaurant.
Well, I was not quite believing all the hype I had been hearing. After all this I thought was mainly a pizza joint. Not the case! I positively enjoyed the family atmosphere and the expressions of love for Michael’s by their patrons: I had a great time and the huge piece of broiled salmon over broccoli rabe with roasted peppers and potatoes and garlic was simply the best piece of fish I have eaten EVER! Now I consider myself a good cook. I love too cook. However once I tasted that dish, I realized that I had a lot to learn.
If you would like great food at a great price in a great atmosphere, Michael’s is the place to go. I rate it 5 STARS.
