The single most important thing we can do for our beloved pets is to feed them appropriately what nature intended for them to eat. Simply put, dogs and cats are carnivores and should be fed as such. Regardless what the “Big Industry” pet food players try to convince us, dogs and cats are meat eaters plain and simple. Voluminous amounts of grains and vegetation that makes up the bulk of “Popular Brands” of dog and cat foods are not only unsuitable for our carnivorous friends but have also been linked to a variety of health issues.
Our pets are family members and who doesn’t want them to thrive? We all want the best for our furry friends.
So what’s bad about grain and vegetables?
While in small amounts many their should be negligible, many commercial brands however, contain excessive amounts and their inclusion in the diet of a carnivore makes for the exclusion of what it is they really need included in their food to achieve maximum health and longevity.
